The Oikos Network is a space to build friendships with like-minded people from across the globe through online peer-support groups and events.
Together, you can voice your frustrations, celebrate your successes and learn how to effectively influence the church and your wider community in the vital area of whole creation care.
How it works
Once you sign up to join the Oikos Network, you’ll be invited to an opening plenary session with all network's members. You will also be matched with one of the following available groups:
- English Group for Asia and Oceania
- English Group for Africa Europe and North America
- French Group for Africa, Europe and the Caribbean
- Spanish Group for Latin America and Europe
We will send you the exact dates and times for the monthly meetings, so you plan ahead. The Oikos Network will provide 2-3 facilitators for each group, who will guide the session, which will include time for devotion, reflection, prayer, sharing experiences and knowledge. Each session will be divided into a part where all the group's participants are together and another section where the participants are split in break out rooms.
You’ll need to commit to meeting once a month for six months for one and a half hours each time. It’s completely free to take part, but you will need to have a good internet connection.
At the end of the six months, you will be invited to a closing plenary session with all the Oikos Network members. You will be part of a network of Creation Care leaders and you can choose how to keep in touch with them.
